HIST 1312 - AMERICAN REVOLUTIONMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 The American Revolution" is usually seen as an island entire unto itself - the outpouring of a spirit of liberty against an oppressive monarchy. It is, however, an integral part of the workings of larger 18th century intellectual, commercial, and diplomatic activities. The events of Europe and America do interlock (whatever George Washington may have said to the contrary). This course will discuss the war for American independence in the European context and the American Revolution from a North American context."
