PET 0105 - INTRODUCTION TO GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SCIENCEMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 GIS or Geographic Information Systems is more than geography, and is certainly more than just making maps. Maps are important and useful tools for many areas of study, from the Sciences, to Humanities, to Political Science, to Medical applications and numerous other fields. In this class students will be introduced to the art of making maps using modern technology along with some old and basic principles. As part of the class students will participate in the 'Day' activities.
