EDUC 1315 - ADVANCED READING METHODSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Advanced reading methods is the second course in reading and language arts for students seeking elementary certification. Students will continue their study the acquisition of language, the balanced literacy approach to reading and writing, and instructional strategies for the development of phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. Emphasis will be placed on phonics and assessment. Academic Career: Undergraduate Course Component: Lecture Grade Component: LG/SNC Elective Basis Course Requirements: Prerequisite: UPB Admission to Education is required in order to register for this course.
