SPAN 0203 - INTERMEDIATE SPANISHMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Intermediate Spanish is an abbreviated course that combines the traditional material of intermediate Spanish i and intermediate Spanish ii. The grammar component includes gustar and similar verbs; the uses of para and por; the two Spanish past tenses (the preterite and the imperfect); the use of se with indefinite subjects; reflexive verbs; and formal and informal commands. Also included are comparatives and superlatives; the present subjunctive; the conditional, and the present and past perfect tenses. The oral, reading comprehension, and cultural components of the course are enhanced by a series of short films and readings of interest to students.
