NUR 0113 - PHARMACOLOGY IN NURSINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course examines the complex world of pharmacology and therapeutics. It will address drug classes and the drugs represented by them. Each drug class will be discussed with regard to: absorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion; major pharmacologic side effects; clinical indications and administration; adverse reactions and contradictions; interactions with other drugs; overdoses and toxicities and nursing implications and interventions.
