MATH 1309 - APPLIED PROBLTY AND STATISTICSMinimum Credits: 4 Maximum Credits: 4 Topics covered include random events and probability spaces, conditional probability, random variables, distribution of random variables, parameters of distributions, and the Central Limit Theorem. Additional topics include populations, samples, inferential statistics, point and interval estimation, hypothesis testing, and regression analysis. Some work will be done with a statistics computer package. Academic Career: Undergraduate Course Component: Lecture Grade Component: LG/SNC Elective Basis Course Requirements: PREQ: Completion of competency courses (FS 0102, ENG 0101 & 0102) and MATH 0150 Calculus 2.
