PS 1319 - POL PARTIES & INTEREST GROUPSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Examines the development, structure, and importance of political parties and interest groups in the U.S. It considers the role that parties and interests play in elections, organizing the government, and influencing public policy. Particular focus is on the decline of parties in the American political system and the increased importance of narrower, special interests.
