INTS 0112 - JAPANESE LANGUAGE AND CULTUREMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course provides an introduction to modern Japanese culture. Beginning with a brief overview of Japanese political-religious history, it will explore ethnic groups and social stratification, geography, economics, and social conventions: manners, food, holidays, home life, work expectations, sports and leisure. Basic conversational Japanese language instruction will be utilized throughout the course. Recommended for anyone who will be visiting or working in Japan, or who is interested in cross-cultural communication and comparisons.
