MUSIC 0260 - MUSIC IN FILM AND GAMINGMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Music is central to our experience of films and gaming, though we may not even notice it is there. In this class, students will explore the different styles and techniques composers use to score different media and how careful placement of music moves a narrative forward, establishing setting, character, plot, and more. Classics of the film and game catalog will be examined alongside contemporary hits. No prior musical training is required.
