CIST 1423 - VIRTUAL REALITY PROGRAMMING AND TECHNOLOGYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This class will help students understand the roots of virtual reality and then build VR experience using available program frameworks. Students will learn user interactions in virtual space and then move on to creating a virtual gallery with VR equipment. Students will learn virtual movements, state machines, and will construct completing common games in VR environment. Particularly, students will explore current VR technology including the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, Google Daydream, and Android Gear VR. VR programming topics such as graphics generation, sensors, depth perception, stereo rendering and controllers will be covered. Students will create their own virtual environment as a final project, using Unity and C#. Academic Career: Undergraduate Course Component: Lecture Grade Component: LG/SNC Elective Basis Course Requirements: PREQ: Completion of competency courses (FS 0102, ENG 0101 & 0102) and MATH 0150 Calculus 2.
