SOC 0206 - CRIMINOLOGYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will examine the nature of criminal behavior, criminal law and the American system of criminal justice. Sociological, biological and psychological theories of criminal behavior will be explored. Topics will include the sociological impact of criminal behavior on contemporary society; issues of constitutional law and current issues in criminal justice. The relationship of the police, the courts and correctional institutions to American society will also be discussed.
