PEDC 0179 - SELF DEFENSEMinimum Credits: 1 Maximum Credits: 1 The physical skills and environmental awareness required for realistic self-defense are taught. Suggested methods for dealing with common types of assaults including escapes from positions on the ground are practiced. Emphasis is on simple motor skills not requiring extensive practice for learning and/or retention. Strategies for recognizing and avoiding trouble and the legal aspects of self-defense are also covered.
