PSY 1313 - PARENTING AND FAMILYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 Examination of the theories and practices of parenting, as well as the changing social dynamics of parenting and parental roles. Topics may include attachment parenting, discipline, cross-cultural expectations, LGBT families, and ethnic differences within the US, major legal landmarks effecting parenting, and different roles and behaviors among mothers, fathers, step-parents, and non-parental caregivers, among others. Academic Career: Undergraduate Course Component: Lecture Grade Component: LG/SNC Elective Basis Course Requirements: Prerequisites: Completion of PSY 0101 and all competencies is required before taking upper-level PSY courses
