EST 1495 - INTERNATIONAL ENERGY STUDY ABROADMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course will focus on how energy policy varies around the world and how those differences in policy manifest as progress in renewable energy technologies and sustainable developments. Students will examine how economic incentives and regulations have shaped the renewable energy landscape in the US and countries around the world. State-of-the-art renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable development concepts and technologies will be described both technically and as a public policy outcome. You will see firsthand the technology and public policy outcomes described in the course while traveling through Germany and Switzerland.
