EGET 1400 - COMBUSTIONMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course focuses combustion systems used for energy production. The course outlines the topics of combustion kinetics, thermochemistry, flame control, and pollutant formation and retention in the context of modern power plants. These topics are used to analyze the efficiency of combustion systems and resulting emission outcomes. A treatment of atmospheric chemistry will describe the effects of primary and secondary combustion emissions on the planet's thermal and hydrological cycles.
