EDUC 1306 - CLASSROOM AND BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENTMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course provides an exploration of strategies and techniques for creating and maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment. Students will learn evidence-based approaches to classroom management that promote student engagement, prevent disruptive behavior, and foster a respectful and inclusive learning atmosphere. The course will focus on proactive strategies for establishing clear expectations, developing classroom routines, and utilizing positive reinforcement to support student behavior. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding the diverse behavioral needs of students, including those with disabilities, and adapting management techniques to ensure an inclusive environment for all learners. Students will examine behavioral intervention plans (BIPs), individualized education program (IEP) accommodations, and other tools that support students with behavioral challenges.
