BIOL 1404 - IMMUNOLOGYMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This is an advanced discussion on the fundamental facts and concepts of immunology including: innate and adaptive immunity; host-pathogen interaction, immune cell communication, antigen modulation, regulation of immune response, immunopathology, allergic reactions, immunosuppression and immunogenetics. Students will gain an understanding of immunological principles and application to infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, cancer, vaccine design through different topics and discussion on current research publications in the areas of disease and immunology with an emphasis on translational immunological research.
