EDUC 1329 - METHODS AND STRATEGIES FOR TEACHING MATH

This course provides an in-depth exploration of methods and strategies for teaching mathematics to students with exceptional needs. Emphasis is placed on the assessment and remediation of math skills, evaluating and modifying commercially developed math programs, and applying evidence-based instructional practices to promote skill acquisition, retention, and generalization. Recognizing mathematics as a core subject that often requires adaptation for students with special needs, this course also covers strategies for assessing individual student needs and implementing accommodations to support their learning in math.
