EDUC 1331 - SPECIAL EDUCATION PRACTICUMMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 The special education practicum is taken right before students complete their student teaching experience. During the practicum, students are provided with opportunities to be in inclusive and special education classrooms for extended periods of time and to put into practice what they have learned in their special education courses. During the course of the practicum, students will be involved in planning, organizing, developing and delivering classroom teaching competencies and skills, evaluating pupil progress, participating in extra class activities, participating in the development of Individualized Education Plans, working collaboratively with other school personnel, and utilizing school and community resources in meeting the needs of students with special/exceptional learning needs Academic Career: Undergraduate Course Component: Practicum Grade Component: LG/SNC Elective Basis Course Requirements: Completion of competency courses (FS 0104, ENG 0101, ENG 0102 and MATH 0098 or higher) as well as admission into the Teacher Education Program
