BIOL 1318 - BIOSTATISTICSMinimum Credits: 3 Maximum Credits: 3 This course provides students with theoretical knowledge and practical skills in statistical analysis as relevant to the biological sciences, covering concepts such as descriptive statistics, probability, hypothesis testing, regression, correlation, and analysis of variance. Emphasis is placed on understanding statistical concepts and data interpretation, with applications in environmental, biomedical and public health studies. The class format includes lectures, computer exercises, practical problems, and teamwork.
