HMGT 1420 - STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT

The course is a capstone course designed to allow the student to apply all knowledge gained throughout this course and previous courses and through actual work experience to a series of hotel and restaurant related case studies. Through the use of case studies, the student will learn to identify existing business and/or corporate strategy, evaluate its suitability given the competitive environment and effectively modify or change it. Emphasis will be placed on strategic considerations as a guide to management actions at all levels of the organization.
