HMGT 1440 - TOURISM DESTINATION - STRATEGIC PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT

This course will explore how we perform the planning role in the development of facilities and destinations for the traveling public. The course will look at traditional planning and development methodologies and apply them to the unique environmental, social and economic issues impacted upon by tourism development. We will look closely at the need to balance consumer's needs with the needs of the impacted environment.
