This course includes an orientation to the discipline of health and physical education. Basic facts concerning the nature and scope of the field; aims and objectives; historical, philosophical, sociological, and biological foundations; the selection and preparation of a career in health and physical education; issues, trends and future of the field will be presented. This course is intended for students preparing to teach, serve and/or lead in careers related to health and physical education.
