Cinema Studies Minor

In an era of saturation in both traditional and new media, media literacy is necessary for critical media consumption. A minor in cinema will serve students insofar as much of the research and developments in both media literacy and new media are rooted in cinema studies. A minor in cinema will thus provide not only the foundation for an understanding of the creative aspects of filmmaking, but the foundation for the critical consumption of media in general.
